âLook, Iâm happy to defend my dad,â Beau Biden said on ABCâs âThis Week with George Stephanopoulos.â âI donât think he needs any defensiveness. Any time the other side â" Karl Rove or folks on the far right â" are going after my father for smiling too much, you know thatâs a victory. My father spoke clearly to the American people about the facts, and you saw him do that for 90 minutes straight.â
Vice President Biden could be seen smiling and laughing throughout the course of the debate in response to statements Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan (Wis.) delivered.Â
âThis isnât, Jake, about how much my father smiled or how many gallons of water that the congressman drank nervously on that stage. Itâs about talking directly to the American people about very important facts,â Beau Biden continued.
Beau Biden, an Iraq War veteran, also sharply criticized Ryanâs comments during the debate, and suggested he isnât adequately prepared to take on foreign policy and national security issues.Â
âYou had him suggest, if not open the door, to put additional troops in Afghanistan. So it was a remarkable position to take,â Beau Biden said. âIt demonstrated, I think, that, you know, the congressman is not quite up to speed on foreign policy as you might want a would-be vice president to be.âÂ
She Thinks I Still Care - Cover 20120120 by JAFLGeorge Jones, a living legend of Country Music. She Thinks I Still Care. Just because I ask a friend about her Just because I spoke her name somewhere Just because I rang her number by mistake today She thinks I still care Just because I haunt the same old places Where the mem'ry of her lingers ev'rywhere Just because I'm not the happy guy I used to be She thinks I still care But if she's happy thinkin' I still need her Then let that silly notion bring her cheer But how could she ever be so foolish Oh where would she get such an idea Just because I ask a friend about her And just because I spoke her name somewhere Just because I saw her then went all to pieces She thinks I still care She thinks I still care
