Question by dead fundie: What is an appropriate response when someone says, "Have a blessed day"? "You also have a blessed day"? "Thanks"? They mostly say stuff like that to: make themselves feel beeter, and to make you feel stupid. if someone told me to "have a blessed day" i would say "no, thanks"

The best response is to be silent, nod and walk away. Its less uncomfortable for you, and you don't have to admit to anything you don't believe in, such is "God bless" or "God be with you".

Yep, 'Thanks' is good most of the time they are offering a pleasant gesture, but it may sound odd because the language suits their lifestyle, not yours. A bit like someone saying 'Have a good one' with a bit of extra feeling Peace

McLEAN, Va. (AP) â€" Dish Network Corp. and Gannett Co. say they've agreed to extend a deadline by several hours as their talks continue in a dispute over fees involving access by more than 2 million Dish subscribers to Gannett's TV stations in 19 cities.
An existing deal was originally set to expire at 2 a.m. EDT Monday involving stations in Denver, Atlanta, Washington and other cities. Representatives of both said in emails to The Associated Press soon after that time that the deadline has been extended. No viewers have been affected.
A Dish spokesman, John Hall, says the deadline extension would allow more time to reach a deal as negotiations continue. Gannett's Jeremy Gaines also confirmed the extension. Both declined to elaborate.
Dish is headquartered in Englewood, Colo., and Gannet in McLean, Va.
