Question by Carlos: What ever happened to "Asking not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?"? What happened to providing for yourself and your family? Why are people looking for "Free" everything? Does anyone remember the saying, Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life! Best answer for What ever happened to "Asking not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?"?:
Answer by Mary S
It's a society of leaches.

Well Carlos one thing you could do for your country is to make sure your fellow citizens do not have to starve, go bankrupt or live in sickness because you voted that they should not receive medical care if they have no money. Who or what do you think "your country" is if not the people that live in it?
Answer by We Won. Get Over It.
Exactly. Now people don't even want to pay taxes. The sense of entitlement is ridiculous. They want to pay no taxes but to keep using the highways, sewage, water reservoirs, police, hospitals, etc.
Answer by Macho Juan Grande
Likewise, why are we removing the freedom to succeed or fail from the free market?
Answer by Philip H
Democrats renounce John F, Kennedy every time they open their mouths. JFK was the first President to lower taxes as a way to stimulate the economy. It worked for him and it has worked every time since.
