Answer by Brooke
The Corporate Governance Policy provides the guidelines under which the Board of Directors operates. The governance policies address the responsibilities, authority and administration of the Board of Directors. The policies also include the responsibilities of the President & CEO and define the reporting relationship. The Board of Directors can be comprised of as many or as little people as you desire. The Board of Directors is accountable for the performance of the organization. Ex:The WCB (Workers Compensation Board) Board of Directors is comprised of ten members, the Chair and nine directors. Three directors are representative of the interests of the general public, three are representative of the interests of employers, and three are representative of the interests of workers.

FILE - In this Oct. 8, 2012 file photo, Republican vice president candidate, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis. speaks in Swanton, Ohio. Ryan is preparing for his debate against Vice President Joe Biden, a man who has been sparring over public policy since the Wisconsin congressman was learning to talk.
The Republican vice presidential nominee is confident he can handle questions about federal spending and taxes when he faces Biden in Kentucky on Thursday. On international affairs, though, Ryan is a bit more nervous.
Ryan typically is called on to explain his party's domestic policy; Biden is a foreign policy heavyweight for Democrats.
Ryan's biggest worry is looking unprepared to face Biden. He's been practicing intensely with a handful of trusted advisers and studying from a pair of thick briefing books he's been hauling around.
