DOVER, N.H. (AP) â" The suspect charged in the killing of a 19-year-old University of New Hampshire student is due to make his first court appearance.
Twenty-nine-year-old Seth Mazzaglia, of Dover, is due to be arraigned Monday on second degree murder charges in connection with the death of Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott, of Westborough, Mass.
Meanwhile, officials expect to decide Monday the next step in the search for Marriott's body.
Marriott, a marine biology major, was last heard from on Tuesday. Her cellphone was last used that night and her car was found in Dover.
Marriott's family says she met Mazzaglia last summer when both were working at a Target store.
Police declined to say what led to Mazzaglia's arrest. They said they have credible information leading them to believe Marriott's dead, but wouldn't elaborate.
Question by tobster: How come there is even a debate over whether or not to have health care in a "developed country" like the U.S.? The term developed country implies the existence of a functioning health care system. Otherwise you are 3rd world country. Best answer for How come there is even a debate over whether or not to have health care in a "developed country" like the U.S.?:
Answer by Jonny Derp 2: Electric Boogaloo
The US has health care. The current legislation is about health insurance, and the broad debate is about socialized medicine.

Actually the US has a very good health care system, some faults, but relatively good. No system is perfect, but the one you have now just needs to be tweaked. It does not need to be completely junked for a socialist system.

We have the best health care in the world. The debate is whether obama should be allowed to destroy it.

Who says we don't have health care? In my town of roughly 50,000 people, there is a world-class hospital, a huge clinic with more than 100 specialist, hundreds of other doctors, dentist, chiropractors, optometrists, etc., a dozen or more 24/7 urgent care clinics, two ambulance companies, dozens of EMTs, and on and on. Also, did you know that 80% of the Nobel prizes for medicine have gone to Americans? Not bad for a bunch of 3rd world hacks, eh?

Because we are a developed country based on FREEDOM. And we have Health Care.

Whether deceptively or obliviously, people tend to use the term "health care" to say "Government Medical Bureaucracy"

We have health care. Very good health care - the most advanced system in the world. It could use some free-market reform, though. And capping those ridiculous lawsuits so docs don't have to cover their rears with a myriad preventative tests to avoid the rabid lawyers. But besides that, most of us are very happy with the care we receive, thank you.
Answer by The Wise Cat Named Binky
We have it already.

we have a developed health care system...there is a time honored method to accessing it...ITS CALLED GET A JOB AND PAY FOR IT!!!! developed health care is good...involuntary obama marxist driven health care is bad.
Answer by The Patriot
The US does have a functioning healthcare system. It functions to benefit the shareholders of the (un)insurance companies. Why does no other developed nation have the US model of healthcare? Because in the US model, insurance companies use death panels to deny care to those they are meant to cover. And then they raise costs [1]. Not only does the USA spend more on healthcare than any other nation [2], it finds itself bottom of the table when it comes to preventable deaths due to treatable conditions when it comes to developed nations [3]. The sad thing is that rather than focus on these things, the right spreads lies and half truths about the reforms and how healthcare works abroad [4]. But, if you think that my points are wrong, e-mail me with proof.
