As for my belief that the Democratic Party has been hijacked by the political left whether by complicity or through ignorance and is bringing in Socialism aka Collectivism to our country, is a subject that would require another letter. Stay tuned ... Constitution serves the country well

Big Country were a rock band from Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, popular in the early to mid-1980s but still releasing material for a cult following. The band were notable for music heavily accented with traditional Scottish folk and martial music styles, as well as for playing and engineering their guitar sound to resemble the bagpipes, fiddles and other traditional folk instruments. The album "The Crossing" was a hit in the United States, powered by "In a Big Country", their only US Top 40 hit single. The song featured heavily engineered guitar playing, strongly reminiscent of bagpipes. Former members: Stuart Adamson Bruce Watson Tony Butler Mark Brzezicki (Adamson was found dead in a room at the Best Western Plaza Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii on 16 December 2001) Lyrics: Come up screaming Come up screaming I've never seen you look like this without a reason Another promise fallen through Another season passes by you I never took the smile aw ay from anybody's face And that's a desperate way to look For someone who is still a child In a big country dreams stay with you Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside Stay alive I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered But you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert But I can live and breathe And see the sun in wintertime In a big country dreams stay with you Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside Stay alive In a big country dreams stay with ...

DALLAS (AP) -- It's a new Battle of the Alamo, with one Texas agency mounting pressure on another to loan out one of the state's most sacred texts for display at "the shrine of Texas independence."

The General Land Office is pressing the State Library and Archives Commission to loan the "Victory or Death" letter penned by Col. William Barret Travis from its "dark storage" for a 14-day exhibit at the Alamo in February.

However, library staffers are reluctant to loan the original, and the commission denied the loan request on Tuesday. Library spokesman Cesar Garza says the commission will meet again in Austin in three weeks to reconsider the matter.

In the meantime, Land Office spokesman Mark Loeffler (LEHF'-lur) says the staffs of the two agencies will try to negotiate a deal.

Question by Wolf: Why do they call killing people "protecting your country"? I always hear things about the soldiers "protecting our country" but really all they're doing is killing people. The same thing you put people in jail for. Just think if a serial killer went to court and said he was "protecting his country", would you buy it? So a camouflage outfit, baldness, and a few boy-scout badges changes your mind and you feel like you need to thank him in some way? Why?? Why do they do this??? Best answer for Why do they call killing people "protecting your country"?:

just because. DEAL WITH IT

Answer by Virbutinsal
to cover up for the greed of rich white men who are corrupted and control the country. WE ARE THE 99%

You are right,,,,,,,,,,,,u should move to North Korea or China asap. You shouldn't be in a evil place like this. Land of the free. The Majority rules. If the majority felt as u do, then it wouldn't be happening, but since apparently most are ok with this, u get to complain and feel left out. If u want change, get off YA and promote change! One person can make a difference. One man can start a snowball rolling. You blame the solders,,,,,,,I blame u. They are following orders and their belief in their country, you just sit on your butt and complain.

The same reason in Texas they condemn people to death with the 10 commandments on the wall behind them which state " thou shalt not kill " . Hey some people need to be killed . Fact of life .

Answer by Kyle Prewitt
You go do it and then write something. When another person tries to harm you , you would defend unless your some stupid pacifist. Don't trash what you don't know about. Murder is killing not in self defense. Defending is something that isn't wrong. When Japan attacked us in world war two would you rather of us sit and let more attacks happen.

You, sir, do not understand what it is they are doing. The "protecting the country" stuff is also helping out that country, so that they won't invade us later, and also THEY are trying to kill YOU. The soldiers are stopping them. To go on with your serial killer theme, you would want the police to stop him before he strikes again, right? Who do you think would put that Serial killer in jail? They protect you, and if you are another American, or really any other country, then you should know that most countries don't stay strong for long when they have no military. If you don't like what they do overseas, then at least know that if they don't do it, then you are going to get invaded, and your country will be taken. You can dispute that all you want, but today's' society is the same as the middle ages, people still want to take over land, wither or not they are pacifists, or are nice people. Get it into your head.

Because without that excuse, our actions look pretty heinous. It's not really that fair to blame the soldiers though. They are just doing what our government is paying them to do.
